Maryland Science Center Website

Less Digging. More Discovering.

The Maryland Science Center was approaching their 50th anniversary with a freshly reimagined brand that captured the energy and curiosity of actually being inside the building. We brought that identity to the web, creating a digital experience that makes it easier for everyone—from first-time visitors to school groups—to find what they’re looking for and get inspired to visit.

This Way to Big Discoveries

Guided by analytics, heat mapping, SEO research, and user feedback, we reimagined the site’s most important journeys. The exhibits page trades static listings for rich photography and video. And because ticket options can be confusing, we reorganized the information hierarchy to make the right choice feel obvious at a glance.

Parents, educators, and adult visitors all come to the site with different goals and different questions, so we built custom calendars and audience-specific tools that surface the relevant information without making anyone dig for it. We also made the backend just as designed as the front end, ensuring Science Center staff can easily keep their events up to date.
